Health and social care Unit 4 - social influences on health and well being

An outstanding and very active lesson that support P1, P2, M1 and D1 of the level 2 NQF Unit 4 criteria. This is lesson could also be used to teach a sociology lesson as it cover the impact of primary and secondary socialisation. The lesson is designed to last for an hour but can be adapted. It consists of differentiated learning outcomes, opportunities for feedback, an opportunity to plan and present a debate (teachers can use this to differentiate groups). It finishes with a current case study that prepares them for their coursework. The active element and opportunities for feedback allow a very capable but talkative class to stay consistently engaged with their learning. Enjoy

Promoting Literacy across subjects

This presentation has several ways for developing literacy across subjects and is suitable for all ages although tailored to suit secondary and sixth form teaching. I was in charge of developing literacy within my department area when creating this resource; I hope you find this useful. Other tips will be uploaded in the near future.
